About Us

The Pink Pearls Foundation of New Jersey (PPFNJ) was incorporated on August 9,

2012 as the philanthropic arm of the Beta Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha

Sorority, Incorporated to advocate for the empowerment of individuals and families in

the State of New Jersey in order to improve their quality of life. The foundation is

organized for community engagement, philanthropic activities, and scholastic

achievement that benefit those residing in the Newark, Irvington, and Hillside, New

Jersey communities.

Vision / Purpose

The mission is to provide scholarships to disadvantaged minority, college bound or

enrolled women and to aid community-based programs that meet the PPFNJ focus

areas of: health and wellness, community-service and action, academic advancement,

social welfare, personal growth and improvement of those who are disadvantaged in

urban communities.
